Decidamp® CLS is a constrained-layer, viscoelastic damping material engineered to significantly reduce structural vibration and noise in heavy-gauge metals and rigid composites over 3 mm thick. Designed for demanding industrial, marine, and mechanical applications, it combines a steel constraining layer with a reinforced viscoelastic core to efficiently absorb and dissipate vibrational energy.
Its semi-rigid tile structure provides high mechanical strength and superior damping, while the lightweight peel-and-stick backing allows for quick, clean installation on flat or curved surfaces—without heat or complex preparation.
By applying Decidamp CLS to at least 70% of a structure, users achieve substantial reductions in vibration and radiated noise, as well as improved transmission loss. The material’s optimized weight-to-performance ratio also enables use of thinner constraining plates for a lighter, more flexible assembly.
Ideal for marine hulls and bulkheads, machine housings, compressor panels, and metal ducting, Decidamp CLS ensures quieter, longer-lasting systems with outstanding durability and resistance to weather, UV exposure, and mechanical fatigue.

For best results, ensure the application surface is clean, dry, and free of contaminants. Remove the adhesive liner completely and allow the material to relax briefly before applying. Press firmly to achieve a secure bond, ensuring at least 70% coverage of the target surface for optimal vibration damping performance. Decidamp CLS can be easily cut to size and installed using basic tools such as a utility knife and roller, making it suitable for a wide range of structural applications.
