Building a Quieter Future

Building

Superior acoustic performance, to reduce noise in commercial and industrial buildings while meeting environmental, aesthetic, and safety standards.

We design our products to deliver exceptional acoustic performance in commercial and industrial buildings while considering cosmetic and environmental factors in their construction. Suitable for various applications, from building and construction to internal surface finishes, these products can significantly reduce noise levels in multi-level buildings, outdoor spaces, and infrastructure, helping to mitigate noise impact.

Effective noise treatment not only addresses existing issues but also aids in meeting health and safety requirements. Furthermore, it enhances communication among staff and residents, thereby improving work, social, and living environments.

Pyrotek products provide high-level acoustic performance in a variety of built environments, including:

  • Offices
  • Commercial Buildings
  • Cafes
  • Bars
  • Restaurants
  • Schools
  • Educational Facilities
  • Hospitals
  • Sports Facilities
  • Gymnasiums
  • Leisure Centres
  • Home Cinemas
  • Commercial Theatres
  • Home Entertainment Areas
  • Media Rooms
  • Private Homes
  • Residential Apartments

Additionally, they are effective in community infrastructure such as train stations, tunnels, bus depots, shopping centre loading docks, large transport hub driveways, drive-through areas, and thoroughfare roads in inner city areas.

Commercial

Waste Water Pipes

Use Soundlag to minimise noise from wastewater pipes. It is highly flexible, allowing it to wrap around even the smallest pipes, and manufactured to meet Building Code requirements.

HVAC

Line with Sorberfoam to reduce internal duct noise or ducts can also be lagged with Wavebar, where a noise barrier only is required. Soundlag is ideal if a tight radius is present. If banks of HVAC units need addressing, consider a noise wall with the right properties to address the appropriate frequency.

Plant rooms

For plant rooms, we recommend using Sorberbarrier. Rooms with sufficient transmission loss should be lined with Sorberfoam or Sorbertextile to control reverberation noise, commonly called "echo."

Also, ask us about Reapor or Sorberscreen for further options.

Residential, Offices & Living

Walls

Wavebar effectively reduces noise transmission between adjoining rooms by offering superior acoustic treatment.

Soundlag is a practical solution for minimising noise generated by wastewater pipes. It's manufactured per Building Code requirements, making it a reliable choice for residential and commercial applications.

Additionally, Reapor can easily line interior and exterior walls, creating a relaxing, non-combustible environment in typically noisy conditions.

Ceilings

Upgrade ceilings with Wavebar to increase sound transmission loss from internal and external noise sources, including rain, aircraft, traffic noise, and cross-talk from adjacent rooms.

Floors

Utilise Silentstep carpet underlay to minimise airborne noise and footfall noise transmission between floors in multi-storey buildings.

Infrastructure & Tunnels

Railway, roadway, and urban infrastructure challenges can lead to significant noise issues if not addressed with the right expertise and consideration. Barriers, walls, and tunnels should be lined with high-performance noise absorbers to mitigate the noise issues.

Viterolite 900 was specifically designed and calibrated to tackle low-frequency noise issues in tunnels. Reapor has achieved notable local and international success. With a high Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of 0.90, this granulated glass acoustic panel is highly effective for various fixed infrastructure applications.

Additionally, Sorberscreen Micro has demonstrated its effectiveness in urban areas highly reflective of noise, particularly in transit zones.

It is advisable to consider vibration isolation when planning urban infrastructure projects.

Construction Noise

Construction noise abatement is often necessary for multiple sites within projects. Tunnel openings for drilling or areas with processing equipment that generate significant noise need effective solutions to allow construction shifts, including nighttime work, to proceed without disruption.

Consider using Wavebar in spoil sheds or Wavebar NC (noise curtains), along with other innovative materials, to address construction noise challenges effectively.
